Club Assembly Business
On Wednesday, March 4, the meeting reviewed club business. Anyone with updates was asked to speak. Here is what was brought to the club:
  • Becky updated the club on Music On Main. She had contacted Barb at the Gaylord Library. They had not started their letter to notify vendors. Becky requested that The Gaylord Rotary be added to the list. The club should hopefully hear when that is ready to send out.
  • The group talked about the ability to send a group email. Becky send an updated roster to the group with her Rotary Group email contacts after meeting. Members can use this to set up their own group email.
  • We talked about needing more volunteers to help with Beds for Kids deliveries. The committee is particularly looking for those with the availability of a truck so we do not need to make more than one trip for items to set up the bed. We also decided that we'd keep the age range to 18, with a stipulation that preference would go to kids 13 & under.
  • The club received a $600 check from Mobility Worldwide for their half of the wood for the last batch of PET cart materials.
  • Neil asked the club on behalf of Tammy Deihn, head of the To Be Continued Foundation, if Rotary would consider a sponsorship donation to the Dances With Stars event. Alice made a motion that Gaylord be a gold level sponsor for $500. It was seconded and passed.
